Pole position. I can still hear the startup music I remember hearing in just about every arcade I was ever in when it was popular. Hearing it in Chuck E. Cheese stands out the most, though. This is the only reason I didn't go with stripper pole, though it was a very close second. I consider this matter closed, the thread can be locked, no further answers are needed. |

The closest answer to my favourite pole of all time is 'tent'. I like it very much when someone pitches a tent for me. |

pole, 10' wooden Back (way way back) when I played pnp DnD. Back in the 1e AD&D era, when rules were unbalanced, but full of real flavor...before munchkinism became the norm (the two classed human ranger/magic user didn't even occur to me...most overpowered build EVAR): every party carried one. Every one had Continual Light cast on it, and everyone was the magical cure-all for any situation. Fall in a pit, use the pole to get out. Creepy pool, probe it with the pole. Orcus causing headaches?...I'm sure the pole will help. Can you imagine how much of a PITA carrying a frickin' 10' wooden pole through a maze of twisty passages would be? But, who needs a vorpal sword when you've got a 10' woody pole? |

10' wooden pole, mainly because of what Lonedar so eloquently said. And because I have a 5' pole at home that I use as a waling stick. So, yeah, I'm kind of a fan of poles and sticks. |

Lonedar, sure we dont play D&D Together??? 10' Pole, exactly what Lonedar said, although we had a gnome in our party who using the old Gamma World rules (multiverse campaign) when non modern people find modern equpment tried to make a collapsable 10' pole, that did not go so well, tried to use it as a Pole vault and died |

10' pole, because of Lonedar's truism (we always cast CL on a rope though). |

You guys cast CL on some strange stuff. I always had it cast on sling bullets. |

Had to go with position. It was so awesome back in the day. Wait a second, this looks like it sucks! Where was the awesome game I used to play? At least the car blows up. |

Man, you know how certain sounds just make you almost salivate, or trigger a vivid memory or feeling? That's just what I experienced when that game started. Wow, I'd forgotten how much that was imprinted on my neurons or whatever. Yes, I am a child of the 80s, at least in terms of video games. |

I keep reading that last choice in the poll as Farski is Gacy... and as such, I felt the immediate need to giggle and then vote for Gacy. |
