Wait. If you're going to detonate a bomb via a cell phone signal, why are you still suicide bombing? The federal government and airport security want us to be afraid of these people? |

My guess is that her terrorist group makes the triggering device for all the bombs a cell phone, regardless of whether they are being used remotely or not. Probably they receive the devices from somewhere else and don't know how to make a trigger on their own. |

I wouldn't underestimate their technical abilities. It's probably more the case that you trigger them remotely to make sure that they carry it out and don't get cold feet at the last minute. |

I'm guessing it's a disjointed network of terrorist cells, some of which receive explosives and detonation devices from others. Not all will know how to re-wire the triggering device, and it is pointless when the cell-phone mechanism already works. If they get cold feet they could just take out the battery. |
