Good for circumventing bandwidth caps if you live in Canada.

It's also bullshit. UBB isn't what people think it is. (which doesn't make it good, but it's not going to hurt my downloading any.) UBB is going to allow the major ISPs to bill the smaller ISPs based on usage, which will get rid of their unlimited flat rate contracts. It's criminal, and likely won't survive political review (this isn't a law, it's a CRTC decision, which any level of government can reverse. ) However, if one already has unlimited bandwidth with a major ISP, or even just pays for tiered service, this changes nothing. Very few people use the smaller ISPs, so this is just some level of government handing the big monopolies the means to put their smaller competition out of business.

Sure you do. We're friendly and make some fantastic bacon.

And Canadian Mountain Dew is like O'Doul's Beer. It's pointless without the "kick." ;-)

You know that when you say "bacon" in canada, we still think the first image. What you call "canadian bacon" is called "peameal bacon" or "back bacon," and it's not that common or popular. In fact, I see it more often in the USA than in Canada.

With regard to Mountain Dew, I agree as well--because caffeine is the only reason to drink that crap. It tastes like ***. Of course, if I want caffeine, I'll have coffee, or coca cola in a pinch. Why would I willingly drink the radioactive-yellowgreen colored goop that is mountain dew?

This thread led to me looking up Canada on Wikipedia, and then I saw this:

Quote:
Between one-quarter and one-third of all Europeans who immigrated to Canada before 1891 died of infectious diseases.[26]

That's crazy. That's like the amount of Indians that died on the Trail of Tears.

I've had and loved peameal bacon my whole life, prefer it to regualr bacon, but Taly is right in that its really not as prevelant around here as the stereotype would mke you think.

I find it much tastier that regular bacon, and apparently its somewhat healthier for you. It goes awesome in a poppyseed bagel sandwich with friend eg and swiss cheese...mmm

I'm not entirely sure what distinguishes it from ham. Which isn't a problem, per se. But it's not bacon. :)
