After spending an hour on home depot, lowe's and google I am at a loss. Can you identify this piece of shower/tub plumbing? It is behind the wall, the spout comes out of it as does the diverter and the hot and cold water knobs. It looks more or less like this: Attachment: Faucet.JPG [ 8.8 KiB | Viewed 818 times ] I need to know the name so I can describe my problem to someone. |

I want to say 'rough-in valve' but I'm not 100% certain. |

Shower valve or Rough-in valve, said to the right person, (contractor, plumber, plumbing sales rep, etc) and they will very likely understand what you are talking about. Depends on who you are trying to explain the problems to, I guess. |

What did you guys Google? Mine appears to be the "rough-in" since it is for shower/tub combo. |

Much better. While you're at it, you might want to get that purple water problem looked at too. EDIT - I LOLed at the artwork. Great stuff. Funny thing is it is most likely 1000x better than anything I might possibly attempt at drawing. |

I've been taught it's called a shower manifold. http://www.contractortalk.com/f9/how-in ... ucet-8214/ It's funny - folks snipe at the guy for calling it a manifold 'till the plumbing contractor piped in. get it? piped in? /rimshot! |
