3/14, the annual holy day for pi.

I think I'll have a nice apple pie with a piece of sharp cheddar please.

Apple pie with cheese?

Specifically, sharp cheddar, try it sometime. It is an interesting and old fashioned taste combination.

I prefer a medium cheddar; it's a bit more creamy. Then again, what I consider medium cheddar others may well classify as something else all-together.

Kirra:

I said the SAME thing last time Apple pie with cheese was brought up around here. I believe Taamar and Khross had something to say about it to me.

Still haven't tried it and I don't think I will be either.

@applepie w/cheese eaters....

What do you do, put a slice on, throw some cubes, maybe some shredded cheddar? This is such an alien concept to me.

Sliced or shredded. Cubed would probably be too bulky, and difficult to get portioned out between bites.

Apples and cheddar are a glorious combination.

Best with shredded, but eating apple pie alternating with small bites of cheddar also wins.

Going to finish up my blueberry pie in celebration of Pi day.

The 22nd of July is a better pi day until 2016.

For those of you making pies, they must be square.

Must they be r squared?

Author:  Micheal [ Thu Mar 10, 2011 3:51 pm ]
Post subject:

pi r irrational, not square.

Unless you have four pies cut into three equal-sized pieces. Then they can be cubes.

Why would you put cheese where only whipped cream should be.

Ended up having a slice of blueberry pie a la mode. It was delicious.

Also pondered the oddness of roundness.

Okay I tried the apple pie w/ cheddar cheese slice thing....it's pretty good. Not as good as whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, but pretty good.

I once saw a billboard in the Wisconsin countryside when I was a kid: "Apple pie without the cheese is like the kiss without the squeeze."

I've tried it, it's tasty, but not part of my regular apple pie experience.

(Sorry, I missed this thread the first time around.)
