Meh. Ever since Lamborghini was purchased by VWAG their cars have just looked and seemed uninspired. Maybe Ferdinand Piesche should propose transferring ownership over to Porsche AG ... |

At least they're making model changes. Porsche has the laziest design bureau in motoring |

Porsche has the laziest design bureau in motoring Maybe if only the equivalent of Nickleback-lyrics-obvious changes to design are the only ones perceptible to the observer, perhaps. Design refinement is what makes great cars. It's how you win a Group C and overall victory at LMS with a rotary powered car (Mazda did this). It's how you hold more overall and class specific victories in LMS and ALMS than any other factory team. It's how you come up with something like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_918, a 700+BHP/ 78 MPG hybrid. It's how you have a successful mass deployment LMP2 series car that runs a direct injection gasoline engine, which is so popular, Team Penske runs them in all their ALMS races. Really, Lambos are just for rappers. And the wives of basketball players. edit: Oh yea, apparently the 918 RSR will run with a regenerative hybrid parallel drive type set-up using a atmospherically sealed flywheel to store the kinetic energy. Not even Formula 1 teams have attempted to deploy this. You know ... names like Mercedes, Ferrari, Williams, Cosworth, Renault. Racing programs on the very pinnacle of all motorsport. |

Meh, they all look like squashed beetles. Sure, they're technically brilliant, but I'd like my supercar to have a soul Big shouty things that look awesome too. |

Sorry Raf, but that lambo looks better than anything I've seen Porsche put out. Also, your argument for Porsche being better was more focused on the engineering side, not the design side. Not that you aren't right, but the OP is purely focused on aesthetic. |

Porsches should look like Beatles. The first Porsche (356) was just a kit Beatle essentially. As far as Lambos looking good ... I think the Diablo VT was the last Lamborghini to truly look stunning. The Gallardo has literally been around since the mid 90's. The Gallardo was just ripped off from the Italdeisn Cala, an old 90's concept. That new flagship looks like a less attractive Lamborghini Reventon. Ferrari, on the other hand ... wow. The F458 is scrumptious, a nice improvement of the F430 which did a disservice to the F360, one of the most beautiful berlinettas Ferrari has produced. And the 599GTB Fiorano is the pinnacle of automotive design. Not even Maserati or Alfa Romeo can touch that thing. What a breath taking design. |

I'm rather meh on Ferraris of late. They're boring looking. The 599 isn't particularly any more breathtaking than say an Aston Martin DBS(The most pretty GT car in production atm IMO.). The 458 is striking, I'll grant that. But the 430 was also kinda bland. Can definitely see the Reventon influence int he Murcielago/Aventador. But that's the kind of thing I like. All creases and sharp edges and angry v-10s |

While everyone has their own personal preferences I am going to disagree with you Raf the new soon to be released Alpha 4c is just a beautiful car, I don't think the Ferrari holds a candle to it. If Alpha does come to the US next year like they are saying and with the 4C I am seriously thinking of getting one. |

Speaking of Alfas, I would love to have a Brera or an 8C. But the 8C is like the Aventador, WAY out of my league. Goodness though, that 4C is a pretty little thing. |

I'm very confused. I saw this car on I-75 Northbound in Tennessee. It was EXACTLY like this car (including paint color and rims.) It did not look like the Murcielago (I just looked it up), it looked like this car in the OP. I got a better than average look at it because the I-75 was closed for about 20 minutes and we were stuck in traffic with it beside us. But this "Aventador" thing is not being released until this summer. Do they make kit-car reproductions before the release of the actual model? |
