I seem to remember a mythbuster's episode about this. I thought the mythbuster's did a poor job of implementation, and that they didn't "bust" anything. |

the mythbusters have failed a number of times in my book, missing some critical elements. (Catching an arrow comes to mind. ) |

How did they fail in catching an arrow? |

they assumed that the hand catching the arrow would remain stationary. In reality you dont do that. You move your hand along the path of flight, giving more time for your hand to close. They assumed a very close shot, which would give much higher velocities of the arrow, further shortening the time one would have to react. |
