Soooo, thanks to my mom, we found out about an art museum nearby that was going to be featuring an exhibit of costumes from sci-fi/fantasy TV and film. We took the opportunity to go today. Now, I searched all around for any kind of notification that they disallowed photography, and could find nothing. About halfway through, an elderly watchman asked me in broken English if I was taking pictures, and I said "yes." He asked me to not do it anymore, and so I didn't. He was quite nice, and I didn't mind acquiescing to the request (even though the reason anyone would want to see these is because they've already seen them in images - i.e. movies and TV, but whatevs ). But until then, I'd gathered some pics I thought y'all might find cool (spoilered for lots of pics): Spoiler: |

Please see Tron. You will probably think it sucks, but..... it's time. |

Omigosh, I take it the only reason you're still not there is because they closed the place up and made you leave? Wow, good stuff. I didn't realize the Gorn costume was out in public. I'd pay just to see that (and the Evil Kirk tunic, too). Please tell me this exhibit is coming to Los Angeles!? Edit: Hm, can't tell. Looks to be traveling the country, has been around for a few years already. It was in Sacramento about three years ago (I vaguely remember hearing something about this, now that I think of it). |

I don't quite get why museums and stuff don't permit photographs. I mean not everyone can go see things, and it makes for far better telling of friends when there's pics. |
