Most shark bites look quite clean. They don't actually bite through the meat, as much as take a good mouthful, then tear through the meat by thrashing their head around. (think biting through then taking a mouth full of apple by ripping)

Seriously though, big scary sharks are really low on the list of things to look out for that could kill you list. Mostly it's the little things which you gotta worry about. (Snakes, spiders, tiny annoying jelly fishies... drop bears... hehe)
