I want to install one at my desk at work, so everyone can see how hard I'm concentrating. Might even attach a post-it note which reads "above this point, do not disturb".

I may have to pick this up.

All I am capable of doing with my force powers so far is opening supermarket doors and turning on the light in the break room.

Mattel has released their version called Mindflex. You should look it up too. It seems the better deal (I've seen them on sale for $59.99 in adds locally, SMRP is $79.99) as it is cheaper (probably since they are not paying for the Star Wars name) and more interactive/things to do with the ball other than just raising it.
