I put my wife's post-surgery puke it my neighbor's trashcan. Today is trash day though and their cans were already on the curb.

TMI. It is probably not OK in concept, but as long as it was containered it shouldn't have any lasting effects. Will he find out if you don't tell him about it?

Crass, rude, and what did she have amputated?

She had part of her deviated septum amputated. I guess that procedure usually causes lot of blood to drain down into the stomach. Kinda hard to keep food down when that happens.

Hmm. I had that procedure sixish years ago. I was laid up with about ten pounds of cotton stuffed up my nose for weeks. No nausea, though. I guess the cotton did its job. I take it your wife doesn't have her nose packed?

Oh she sure does. I tried to get her to kinda tilt her head forward, but I'm not sure how much she did it. This morning seems to be much improved.

I've just got to ask why you didn't put it in your own trash.

Because it was probably too yucky for it.

Not a good thread to read during lunch...I literally had my mouth full. Ugh.
But yeah, if the container busted or anything...that wouldn't have been very nice.

I'd say not OK.

What I would do in the same situation would be to find a dumpster behind a nearby office building and deposit it there.

At least you didn't drop a deuce in it. Of course, we all know your non home-court weakness, so that is not a very high likelihood, anyway.

Eh...... secretly putting something in a neighbor's piece of property that you would not want in your own property, I'm going to rule that one "not ok." Purely based on the fact that the item was 1. Covertly planted and 2. It was an item you did not want in your own property. I'd rule it the same way regardless of what the item was based on that criteria.

I'd have to go with OK, since I'm assuming that (a) you wrapped it well, and just didn't empty out a bucket or something, and (b) your neighbor's trash is going out today, as opposed to your own, where it would sit there for a few days. And, you're in the hot hell of Phoenix, so it might get pretty ripe in a few days.

I kind of did something similar once; driving down out of the mountains through the foothills on winding roads, eating a bag of Fritos, and my wife got sick into a plastic bag. We're 150 miles of LA traffic from home, so I tied the bag and threw it a garbage can in front of a fast food restaurant. Felt like I was dumping a body or something.

Well, I was going to. But then I got outside and saw the neighbor's cans already out. I figured, "why walk 40 feet when these are 15 feet away." At the time it made good logistical sense.

I don't think you're going to hell, but I'm gonna go with "not ok," too.

Although, Sloth is a deadly sin.. so maybe I'll have to rethink the "going to hell" bit.

I would go with 'not ok'. I mean you probably wouldn't have done it if your neighbor was standing right there, right?

That said, I don't think I'd consider it a capital offense either...

Yeah this...it's kinda gross, man.

Interesting how some people find it morally acceptable to stash the vomit in a business dumpster, but morally repugnant to stash it in his neighbor's trash can.

I'm not sure if 'morally acceptable' is necessarily the right phrase. Courtesy/respect maybe? Public dumpsters are made for nasty stuff...private garbage cans have to sit on people's porches. Its personal.
Like, I wouldn't take a big stinky poo in the bathroom of someone I know, but I might in a public restroom. That is, if girls did that sort of thing :?

I think the question that needs asking is, why is the wife not barfing into the toilet?

Usually cause business/public dumpsters are made for ikky things and are usually stinky to start with.

Out of curiosity : what are the local biohazard disposal laws like?
Moral or immoral may not be the issue. It might not be legal to throw that in the trash can at all.
