Of the restaurants listed I've only been to three...Cracker Barrel, IHOP, and Denny's. Out of those three I have to say Cracker Barrel because it's the only restaurant I've ever been to who's biscuits come close to my mom's home made biscuits. |

For the record, since most people I encounter couldn't pick a lingonberry out of a lineup, lingonberries are ballistically similar to blueberries, not grapes. So, if you ever are in such a situation.. now you know. |

Lingonberries are most closely related to cranberries, though they're in the same family of plants as blueberries and some others. They're cold-weather broadleaf evergreen shrubs. Come to think of it, they might be related to holly berries, too. I should look that up. They're very tart, much like raw blueberries and cranberries. But sweeten them up raw, or cook them down some and neutralize the acid a bit, and they are delicious. You see them most commonly in jams or compotes, though several Northern and Eastern European cultures also juice them and make sauces to garnish meats with them. They go by some other names depending on the region; Lingon derives from the Swedish name for the plant. |

People with jobs which require us to be there before 7:30 if we want to excel, and whose demanding schedules demand them to a) be well fueled for their morning tasks, and b) don't know if their schedule will permit them to go to lunch until late in the afternoon. |

W"affle" House. Hands down. The other chains in this area (IHOP, Shoney's, Cracker Barrell) are usually very nasty and have had health violations. IHOP burnt and was replaced, and it usually has roaches crawling up the wall. Shoney's was gutted because of rats, and is equally nasty. Cracker Barrell in it's first 3 months was shut down because several dozen people got food poison. Waffle Houses here, are always clean. I lived off them when I worked nights. Ham'n Cheese + plain hash browns. Morning fare, eggs over easy, grits, hash browns, bacon and toast. Occasionally I'll get a waffle on the side when I'm really hungry.

Chick-fil-a I like chicken for breakfast and their mini biscuits are smothered in honey and chicken I know I am crazy, but that is the only chain breakfast I like We usually go to a diner for breakfast because we have some crazy awesome ones around here that give you almost everything including the sink. |
