The poster replied to a post of mine in the Christmas gift thread about wanting a ring similar to what I've purchased for my wife...it wasn't a bot.

People who register from IP addresses in Pakistan and use email addresses that are flagged in spammer databases get banned. Whether it was a bot or not is tangental.

I thought Lex was working on a bot that responded to threads in a quasi-logical manner. The syntax was off which is why I figured bot.

That would be cool, but lately I have not been working on bots. I would also not host them in countries in the middle of nowhere. :)

It's generally more efficient in the long run to create a bot that can read and respond to message posts, no matter how badly, than it is to employ a person. Particularly since a bot can access multiple sites at once.
