As noted in my tiny spoiler, yesterday was Rick Astley's birthday.

How can a forum well aware of your Rick-Rolling Propensity be called killjoys for not giving you an excuse to continue Rick-Rolling us?

Oh, now, that's just mean, Khross. However, I have no interest in replying to a rick-roll. Doing so in any substantive manner will spoil the prank for others, and I rarely engage in rick-rolls myself, so participating by creating replies that support the original rick-roll falls under the same category. I'm neither a kill-joy nor a collaborator.

Also, putting the bit in spoiler tags kind of, well, spoils the effect.

1. I tried once, maybe twice before and that indicates a propensity?

2. It was for his birthday, it would only hurt a for a little.

3. Judging from the number of views of the thread vs. the number of responses, I figure many were rolled, but just not able to admit it. Hell, I've been rickrolled while trying to eat dinner at Applebees. I'm man enough to admit it. :P

Foamy:

I clicked the thread. I saw the "splash" image of the youtube video. I looked at a calendar. I saw a spoiler tag, which I did not open. And I closed the thread until you called us killjoys.

I just didn't have an interest in seeing Muppets bloopers. Now, I'm glad I didn't.

That's my fav rickroll, right up there with the rickrolling at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade a few years ago. (I didn't click on it, since I knew what it was already.)

Foamy,
FWIW, I loved it too. Whoever took the time to edit Beaker & Dr. Tooth to fit this has waaay too much time on their hands, but they did a great job w/ it. Thanks for posting it - my kids will have no idea what the RR is about, but they <3 Muppets. Have for years.

To be honest, I saw the video was a muppet video and closed the thread because I've never liked the muppets to be honest. So I had no idea what the thread was actually about.

First time seeing the thread is my excuse. Spent all last week in Texas, with minimal posting here.

And, honestly, I've always liked that song. The Rick Rolling phenomenon never decreased my enjoyment of it either.
