I say you tackle the last two-three on your list together. Come down to New Orleans, run one of the many wonderful 5Ks, and then stay to ride out a hurricane! |

Better save those for last then. Be on a game show (Price is right, Jeopardy). Go back to the Guadeloupe river and do the advanced river tubing course. Ummmm see a real castle (not the victorian ones they have on this continent) somewhere maybe. |

Hey, Hop - I went scuba diving with a shark (nurse shark, not a great white) in a hurricane, then rode it out. Sorta. It was right before the hurricane. That said - you should definitely ride out a hurricane sometime - it was friggin awesome. |

Hopwin wrote: You want to die before you die? I've lived my whole life with an "known" expiration date. When you're 19, have pancreatic cancer, and you were supposed to die 10 years ago, you get a different perspective on things. I completed my bucket list by the time I was 24. Now, my bucket list is to die on my own terms when appropriate; until then, I'll just be thankful to wake up and live.

Depends on the hurricane. Riding out a tornado was a bit more interesting, though. |

Unchanged from last time. I gotta start making some progress... 1) Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes near Lima 2) Carnival in Rio de Janeiro 3) Wingsuit Basejump 4) Snowboard Whistler/Blakcomb, Jackson's Hole/Teton, Patagonia, New Zealand, Korea and Japan, Tahoe, Mammoth and the list keeps going on and on 5) Took out the surfing thing, this would compromise the rest of my list 6) Bora Bora, Tahiti 7) Angkor Wat 8) See the sunrise on every continent 9) The best bucket lists are the ones you don't complete IMO. Also, living with a potentially terminal illness, that makes this a bit more complicated at times. Do I live for today or for tomorrow? My stash of cash is growing to the point I could nail most of those if someone gave me the 6-36 month prognosis. That makes me happy. |

I don't mean to sound insensitive, quite the opposite, honestly... But how many of you are terminally ill? |

Yea, actually, asking that question might be better in a PM. |

Rynar, we are all subject to death by old age. We will all die eventually. Khross, knowing his expiration date is closer than most of us, has made a point of living as he wants to until his time comes. Don't live as if death will never come, and don't live as if today is your last day. Just live. Be as good as you can to your family and friends, and forgive your enemies so you don't have to carry the foul baggage not forgiving them brings. Don't forget, just forgive. |

Kirra wrote: Yea, actually, asking that question might be better in a PM. There are two people who have said something along those lines in this publicly visible thread already. Anyone else who finds themselves in that situation, and is comfortable saying so, can do the same if they wish, or not. I'm not interested in PMing everyone on the board to ask them if they are sick, as I'm really not interested in prying into the intimacies of peoples personal medical history. I believe that would be the height of rudeness, where as asking publicly if anyone wishes to share something is far less intrusive. YMMV. |

Difference of opinions on what is considered rude then. I, personally, would not ask that question...I think if someone chooses to give the information, it is their business, but to ask "Who else here is terminally ill?"...I do think it is insensitive to ask that. Why would you want to know? And, no, I would not expect you to pm everyone asking for a health prognosis, because it's not any of your business unless they choose to tell. |
