My family gets a little wonky over dreams. My mother for example thinks they are warnings from God. What is your take? |

I find that my dreams are a mishmash replay of whatever happens to be prevalent in my life at that time. At least that's what Oonagh tells me what what she hears me say in my sleep. I almost NEVER remember what the hell I was dreaming about. I have to rely on waking up to Oonagh telling me, "You'll never guess what you said in your sleep last night." It's usually good for a laugh. |

A and B. However, I do pay very close attention to my dreams. Very frequently, important information is transferred from my subconscious to my conscious mind in this fashion. I have discovered a great many things about myself and others in this way. I have solved engineering problems, and "discovered" mechanical problems that could have been very serious. I have invented things in my dreams (nothing I've been inclined to pursue). I can understand how people would interpret this as signs from a 3rd party; however, I believe it is just things I noticed but did not process at the time coming out once I get my conscious mind out of the way. |

...are mostly forgotten about by the time I'm conscious. It's a rare morning when I remember my dreams. |

I hardly ever remember my dreams. Maybe one every few months. I turn to hallucinogens to get my fix / solve life problems / be self-reflective instead. |

I have very clear dreams. It is like watching TV. Why? Who knows. I will miss dreaming when I am dead. |

I remember a dream about once every 3 months or so.On a somewhat related-to-dreams note: heard a song for the first time a few days back, then got the musical hook stuck in my head a couple of nights later as I went to bed. Couldn't remember a single word of the lyrics, so I pushed myself to focus on what I *could* recall so it would get processed while I was sleeping. Next morning, I remembered enough of the lyrics to Google the song. |

It depends how altered I am when I go to bed. If I'm loaded, I don't remember them, but if I go to bed clear-headed, the dreams are very vivid. |

Mine are freaky epilogue movies with lots of Sex and Money. Like watching some hyped up mobster movie on speed. Sometimes it is my subconscious trying to get out, like talking to my brother a lot. Yelling at him, asking him why, telling him my sister-in-law is gone. stuff like that |

I've dreamed stuff I can't explain, about places I hadn't yet visited. Im even convinced that one upon a time (before I got right with God)I've had a shared dream experience with another person. I made a major life decision based on this and it didn't turn out so well in the short term, but I can't imagine my life any different. However I think everything God wants to tell us about Himself and His plan for us has been written down. |

I really hate dreaming when I get sick. My mind tends to "skip" like record when that happens and I'll dream about the same thing, usually some problem or other, over and over again in sequence, until I finally wake up. I also get a number of recurring dreams, even when not sick: The one where you're naked in public somewhere for no apparent reason The one where you're back in high school or college for no reason, and worse, have skipped at least one class all semester The one where you have to shoot someone but no matter what you do the damn gun won't fire; you just can't squeeze the trigger hard enough. I had an alternate version of this once where I needed to shoot down a helicopter, but no matter what the damn SAM wouldn't launch The one where you're going to have sex with someone but somehow it just never quite happens. I REALLY hate this one now because ever since I got married I always dream that I'm cheating, I don't want to, but just can't prevent it, yet somehow it never quite actually happens I probably get at least one of these once every month or so. As for the OP, I'd say all of the above at various times and places. |

I'd say mostly "your subconcious representing your innermost thoughts/desires/etc" since that's what most of my dreams seem to be, mostly involving a specific ex of mine and also someone I want to date who is currently seeing someone (not both of them together mind you). Sometimes however I just have completely random **** up dreams, like one when I was on a large ship going down a river and the entire cast if prison break was on it and the ship was a jail, and then it wasn't, and then we were camping in the ship and then we got off the ship, then I woke up, it was one of those wtf!? dreams. |
