What are your favorite places on the internet to pass the time for humor, cuteness, brain teasers, reading news, comic strips, online games, socializing, etc?
Inquiring minds need to know.

I spend a lot of time on youtube. I watch pro League of Legend players on twitch.tv(among other games, really. LoL is just my favorite, but I do enjoy watching people play DayZ as well). I read a lot of web comics. And I play a lot of online games.

dayoftheshirt.com

Sites that sell t-shirts for a very limited time (usually 1 day) and then retire them. The shirts with shipping are typically pretty cheap (less than 13 -14 bucks total). If you like interesting/geeky shirts and want to almost guaranteed to be unique in wearing it, this is the place to go.

I've been told that the "Threadless" sites use poor quality tees, but I can vouch for TeeFury and Ript Apparel for using good quality tees. Teefury is one that many of the guys here at my work particularly like. The Support team here in fact all got The Problem With Ninjas shirt. A seemingly innocuous shirt. Until...

Spoiler:
If all you see is a ninja star, and can't figure out why this shirt is so cool other than it's a pretty nifty ninja star.... focus on the black part of the artwork instead of the white.

See it now? That's the problem with ninjas...

See...now you have gone and ruined my life. If I get into that site, it's going to be like crack for me and I'll buy t-shirts so often that I'll stop paying bills, we lose all our stuff and LK shoots me in the head.

Until the ISP and electric bills don't get paid. Nitefox, prioritize those as the last utilities you keep up.

Hmm... BikeForums is a regular stop.

And here.

Otherwise, I read webcomics as they update, and spend a lot of time on GradCafe giving grad school application advice, and the Chronicle of Higher Education reading articles and OpEd pieces.

Apparently I spend hours upon hours surfing youtube for my favorite music (mostly older one-hit-wonder type stuff) and posting tidbits of it here in the earbug thread....

I really need to find a new hobby....

TVtropes and Wikipedia top the list for me.

At a certain training program I attended, I got a reputation (not necessarily undeserved) for total nerdiness amongst my classmates. Wikipedia was not blocked on the computers in question, so I spent a lot of time there reading about (what else?) military stuff.

Everyone else was looking at online shopping, Jersey Shore, whatever.

I also never got yelled at by the instructors because Wikipedia looks quite innocuous. ;)

LadyKate: It's very tragic and I'm so sorry. He asked me to hold his gun while he got under the sink to fix the leak. He then asked me for a wrench and the gun went off and blood got all over his nice new t-shirt. Do y'all think I will still be able to collect on the insurance policy, since it was an accident and all?

Officer: Well ma'am, since it was an accident I'm sure there won't be any trouble with that. Now about all those t-shirts you want to donate to the police benevolent auction, where would they be?
