Anyone ever had Torpedo IPA? I thought that was pretty good.

Yep... Usually go between that and the Ranger.

I still sadly can't get Ranger IPA anywhere local, or even the surrounding states.

I'll look up the Torpedo IPA, though- Sierra Nevada, right?

These are the two local IPA's I go to. One is a regular IPA that I usually get and the double only when there's something big going down. Both will knock you on your *** in short order if you make the mistake of drinking them as session beers.

This stuff is delicious. 2 other recommended IPA's:

X-114 is a rotator, so it's not always available. They recently did a grapefruit variant that was also good, but I prefer the original X-114.

P.S. If you're a TRUE Hophead and ever just want to get your face crushed in by hoppy goodness, this is king:

But the good things cans do for beer go beyond the contentious environmental metrics. Aluminum cans protect their contents from light and oxygen, creating an environment where beer can age well and retain the freshness and flavor that the brewer intended.

The light weight of cans means that the finished product can be transported more efficiently than other packages, and canning breweries get access to markets where cans just make sense. With craft cans, beer lovers can choose among a wide variety of styles from local breweries to drink while enjoying outdoor activities like sporting events, barbeques, floating, and hiking. For these reasons many new breweries are choosing cans as their only packaging choice. Altogether cans are helping the bottom line for craft breweries, an industry which The Brewers Association reports employs over 100,000 people in the US.

I have a Ruination bottle atop a cabinet in the kitchen. The bottle is actually better than the beer inside (which is not bad at all, but overpriced).
