Stupid bird flew into window. We put him in a box to rest with towels and stuff, but he died.

Stupid bird.

My aunt has a cardboard box by her glass door. When a bird hits the door she runs out and throws a box over it. She does this because the stray cats were getting wise to the fact that stunned birds often appear on her porch for easy eating.

Not a pet thankfully. Dont get that much wildlife in the city so its sad when it pointlessly dies like this.

And little birds are cute.

Stupid bird.

In the US there is a push currently to develop building design standards to limit this. The goal is to build glass with a coating of some kind that birds can see that humans cannot. Still trying to figure it out, but at least they are working on it.

This seems like a solution in search of a problem. Birds flying into glass and thereby croaking sounds like a good way to improve the gene pool.

^ This is why I don't slow down for geese crossing the road. Darwinism shall be strictly enforced.

Makes sense. Parrots, at least, can see into the ultraviolet wavelengths.

It's a good way to increase the insect population, at least.

Perhaps the birds that are flying into windows are toad-eaters.

That sucks SuiNeko. I had one do that to me too. Took care of it for a day but it died.

I dont know why they hit the glass but it's fairly common apparently. I'm not even a fan of the little sparrows but it's still sad when they die on ya.
