So as to not derail LK's thread... and since I've become a technology n00b (apart from games)... Do I need a e-book reader to get the death and fortune book or is it merely in pdf format and kindle is like a physical pdf reader? Is it something I can get on my iPhone? maybe through an app? Please help as I read the first couple of chapters and would like more hehe... |

You can get the Kindle app for your iPhone. It's free, amazon makes cash off of you buying kindle books from them, not from the app. It's come in handy since I borked my kindle screen.../shakes fist |

Sheesh, you feel out of touch? You're, like, young and hip and stuff. Makes me feel positively ancient. |

I know this wasn't a great book but I had fun writing it and as Lord Doom said, I finished it. You put something on the internet you have to know that at some point, someone will rip you a new one. I expected it. I waited for it. I never expected complete apathy. |

You authored the book being discussed? I did not know that. Where can I find a copy? I'd like to read it and reward you with something other than apathy. |

I wasn't looking for sales but thanks. I didn't want to be that guy shouting BUY MY BOOK all over the place. Which is why I have only posted about it a few times. Hell, I only posted about it on Facebook three times. Which is how you may have missed it Ara. This was just a moment of frustration. Amazon does this thing where they will promote the book for five days and people can download it for free. Over those five days, 180 people got it. Not bad. I was hoping for at least a review or two to come out of those. I expected a lot of poor ratings honestly but when I got nothing...outside of a few friends. Ahhh well. |

How do we get signed copies for loved ones for Christmas? |

That isn't something I would think about. I guess if it was something someone HAD to have signed, it could be mailed to me and I would return it. Or you come find me in Michigan and I will be happy to sign it. |

I was fortunate enough to read at least two different revisions of the previously unfinished text. My comments, on the overall station of the text, remain the same. However, Raell is right about one thing: he finished and published a book. That accomplishment cannot be taken away from him. It may never make him rich or lead to a publishing contract, but he finished the book -- something most writers cannot do. It's a fun little ride. It is better than a lot of stuff. It is not better than a lot of stuff. Thanks to those of you supporting our fellow Glader. He put a lot of work into that little tome, and I think it shows. |
