FINALLY! I have contacts again! No more glasses for me!

A little background...back in April, if you remember, I had a cold that kicked my *** and developed into (simultaneously) a sinus infection, bronchitis, and conjunctivitis. I was on my last pair of contacts when this occurred, and I most certainly wasn't putting those back in my eyes. I'd never gotten around to saving up the money to go the doctor for an eye exam and get more, so I reverted to glasses, of which I'm not fond.

This is so wonderful! I missed contacts so much. Everything is bigger, without light rings, and even clearer (my glasses, it turns out, had been slightly over-prescribed).

Wheeeee!

Ah, I miss contacts. I wore them with no trouble at all through high school, but can't find any that are comfortable anymore.

Happy for you FarSky.

The whole concept of putting something on my eye creeps me out, but I've known people all my life that have worn them. I really don't know where I got this revulsion to the idea.

Amsuingly, every optometrist I've seen has said, 'yeah, with your astigmatism, no, contacts wouldn't work well."

I read just fine with glasses though.
