I think Myself, Elm, Foamy and family, Hanibal all live right in the path of it.

Yup, Oonagh's school district announced last night that they are closed Mon. and Tues.

The rain and wind are picking up as I type this. The Jersey shore is getting pounded and the storm hasn't even made it's landfall as yet. Should be an interesting 1-2 days.

This is bullshit.

If we're going to get a hurricane in Ontario, I also want my 80 degree winters and palm trees. **** this partial-caribbean weather.

I must organize a protest. Maybe sue some meteorologists (in an italian court.)

I hope all of you in the path of the hurricane are able to stay well. Check in with us as you can.

I'm here for a while. They closed all transport. Don't really know what else I can do other than sit tight in my Marie Celeste of a hotel. 11th floor , lots of nice glass windows.

Governor has apparently banned road travel. Mass transit closed down. Still got power so thats something.

Ho hum. At least the internet works. I dont even have a paper book with me...

Grab some ebooks and store them locally. Maybe some fresh tunes too? Keep the batteries fresh as long as you have power.

I've never seen anything like that.

And I tend to pay attention to storms and stuff.

Foamy - you guys are close enough that if you need a stove or such iif/when power goes out let me know - we have two camping stoves that are fully operational and assorted other stoves.

Power went out once about 10 minutes ago.

We still have power but it's been flickering all day. I'm sure this post will jinx it.

Crazy wind and rain here. For those familiar with the area, Lake Erie has 12 foot waves...

Yeah, when I heard it was heading straight for the Jersey Shore.. .I thought "Hell, where was this storm 5 years ago!"

Then I realized how serious it was... and its not as funny.

This storm is dumb. We're getting bursts of wind that are making my power go down for about 1-2 minutes every thirty minute or so... just long enough to make sure that I can't do anything fun or constructive.

Has anyone heard from Bale or Balerion for a whlie? He came back onto the boards for a bit, and lives in Atlantic city. Just a little worried about him.
