I'm suggesting (note, black type normal size) that the moderators create a Moderator Faction bank. you know, the little things that bother us, we get to ding you for it. Use the WoW Scale, you all start at Neutral, 0 Points, you can go to unfriendly with your first oops. Things like - Be Whiny, lose 100 points - Invoke Godwins, lose 2000 faction points. - Derail with no obvious or stated side track, lose 250 faction points. - Insult your fellow Gladers, singularly- lose 500 points - collectively, lose 5000 points. Problem is, I'm trying to list the things that will give you good faction, I'm afraid I'd have to make them all daily based because it would be too easy to abuse them to give yourself a buffer. - Post a good book reference, one the Moderator agrees with, 100 points. - Post a recipe that the Moderators like, 100 points - Post a good picture of yourself in the Pic Thread (Flora and Fauna) - 500 points, two times maximum for credit - Be an effective peacemaker in a runaway thread - 1000 points So, its ridiculous, silly, and probably out of the question, I understand that right off the bat, especially since I won't be doing the bookkeeping. Just have fun with the concept, what do you think? |

The idea amuses me, but should not be done with the moderation hat on, IMO. I welcome the notion of a Micheal faction, but am wary of a Moderator faction. |

Yep. Sounds entirely too much like pez. Which was the worst idea for a community like ours. Pez is useful when you have thousands of members, but we have like, 50. |

Sure, Mookhow can pass out Anime gifs to those who reach exalted. Talya can remove the curses she's put on you, and you could have some of my either sage or worthless advice. Unfortuntely, DFK! will merely add your address to the donation e-mail list  for his latest cause and Lenas will rant about the rest of the moderators (  kidding, just kidding) to you until you fall asleep. Maybe Lydiaa could use that one.

I can really only get behind this if we have mods who are polar opposites - one mod gives you faction for your great book reference, but the other dings you because that author is a hack. Then we can have achievements for being exalted with both of them at the same time. |
