Merry Christmas! Time for me to get ready to go sing for three services. I'm singing O Holy Night, with the high B-flat, which will be the highest note I've ever sang in a performance.

Went very very well. Now I'm exhausted, but I have to pack for my flight tomorrow morning.

Dang Raell, that jolly old woodcarver is making you work flight crew for him again? Next year grease the runners so much that he skids off the first house he lands on. That'll show him.

Merry Christmas to you too, and to everyone else that reads these lines.

I'm working today, as well, but hopefully it'll be an uneventful shift.

Hope everyone had a wonderful one.

Ours was great, but hectic. We have a 4YO and a 1YO. Got up at 8, did the santa thing, inlaws came over, had breakfast. opened gifts until 11.

Had to be at my brothers, and hour away, at 1. So no, kiddo, you can't play with any of your toys, finish opening all these so we can get ready to go. rush rush rush.

Got to my brothers. No, kiddo, you can't play, go see all your aunts and uncles, grandmas and grandpas. Hugs, kisses, pictures, etc.

Open more presents. No, kiddo, you can't play with those toys, you have all these gifts to open and dinner's almost done.

Dinner.

No, kiddo, you can't play with that toy, it's dark outside. Play with this one. Kiddo, it's too crowded in here, you can't throw that around. Wait, kiddo, people are leaving - go give hugs and kisses.

Drove home, and spent from 7:30 to 8PM setting up the one toy he had asked Santa for and was excited about. (hot wheels crash track). Played with him until 8:30.

Time for bed. /cry

It was a wonderful day, but it's just too much for little kids. My wife and I were exhausted. I can't extract ourselves from celebrating Christmas with extended family. I'm supposed to host next year. But we need to figure out a way to scale this back.

Its times like these that I'm thankful I have no family other than Mom.

*Hectic Xmas Schedule*.

Before the **** hit the fan this Xmas for Oonagh and I, our previous Christmases were a carbon copy of this. We are wrestling with how to scale back also as next year (pending my family situation) we will have a 4 1/2 yo and a 1 1\2 yo and I am tired of running around crazy all day.

Glad to know it isn't just us that has been dealing with such craziness on Christmas day.
