That force choke finally got him.

The actor, Richard LeParmentier has passed away. We may remember him from such films as Star Wars. He was Admiral Motti, the dude who insulted Vader's "religion" and almost got choked out for it.

Spoiler:
May the Force be with him.

Richard LeParmentier, an actor who had a number of notable roles but was best known for his part in the 1977 film Star Wars, has died at age 66, according to TMZ.

In his iconic Star Wars scene, Richard played the member of the Empire who gets invisibly choked by Darth Vader after mocking him.

Richard was born in Pittsburgh and lived in Bath, England, for most of his life, although he died in Austin, TX. The exact cause of his death is unknown at the moment.

Richard had been married to British actress Sarah Douglas, who played Ursa in the first two original Superman movies.

He is known for a variety of other films, including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Octopussy, and the original Rollerball.

More recently, he wrote for British TV and was the narrator for the 2004 video game Soldiers: Heroes of World War II.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
