Garrisons look cool, as does boosting one alt to 90.

This is... a WoW expansion?

Yup.

Time travel to Draenor in pursuit of an escaped Garrosh. Set in the time of the original Iron Horde, prior to the shattering of Draenor.

Garrosh decides to go back and form a true, purified horde without demonic intervention, we follow.

I think the garrisons are pretty cool looking- they seem highly modeled after WC3-type bases.

Woah, neato. New character models might actually make me re-up for a bit.

Going back in time will be awkward for Blood Elves.

Anything that makes life awkward for Blood Elves makes me happy.

The more I see about Garrisons, the more excited I am. MMO-RPG with BASE BUILDING!

Going back in time is only awkward until you realize Blizzard ran out of ideas during Wrath of the Lich King.

Ooooh.... Makes more sense.

We aren't time traveling.

Garrosh goes back in time and alters the timeline, and is attacking current Norrath with an alternate timeline Iron Horde.

Yea, if I understood what Metzen was saying, it goes like this

Garrosh escapes his trial
With the help of "someone" (most likely bronze dragonflight) goes back to old Draenor before it was destroyed approx. 2 years before the first opening of the Dark Portal.
Convinces Grommosh and other clans to form a new Horde, giving them the tech he learns from modern day
Stops majority of orcs from drinking the blood of Mannoroth, therefor leaving the orcs uncursed (excelt for Gul'dan, who has already drank the kool aid as it were)
Rewires Dark Portal to open to "our" Azeroth aka modern day
Heroes go through portal (aka us) to stop his Iron Horde, which takes us to Draenor of old

or something like that

Ohh, that makes more sense... kind of.

I honestly expected Pandaria to be the weakest of the expansions (especially since I am not a fan of the ancient asian motif). But when it came to lore and how you interacted with it, it was extremely well done. I've had more fun and more playtime in this expansion than any other for this game.

And now they're throwing in what sounds like player housing into the game? Something I've been wanting since 2004? And new models?

Yeah, I'll be getting it.

The preorders for this went live today. You get the level 90 boost as soon as you preorder (and the CE mount/pet as well, if you go that route)

But for some reason, the expansion is $10 higher than usual.....

As I said with the eq2 thread, are they going to unban all the people who paid for power leveling services?
