The next patch (no release date yet, but likely within the next few weeks) will allow you to mail any "Bind on account" items (like heirlooms) to any of your characters on any server. Something I am quite looking forward to, since my Alliance toons are on a different server than my higher level horde toons.

And if you didn't know about it yet, Blizzard has been implementing "connected realms." It's a brilliant way to merge servers while avoiding the bad PR that comes from merging servers. Essentially, two or more servers will "phase" with each other. You will see other players from the connected server running around yours, and you theirs. You will share Auction Houses, can join the same guilds, etc. But this also means you can have your character slots doubled, since you can create characters on either server.

They've implemented a few already, but are continuing to do more all month.

I didn't think about the extra character slots from the realm connections. More alts!

Sadly, I don't think mine are getting connected. Sigh.

That said, my Hordie Paladin is going to be 90 soon, maybe I can actually form some Flex raids with all the rest of you horde-centric people.

Also cool is a cross-realm raid browser that should function like a less-buggy OQueue.

Nice. I'm slowing down a bit now that I've hit 81, mostly because I'm also building up gearz from Ordos and Celestial kills.

Also: Spec BM and just go solo on Timeless Isle.

The little packs of turtles/cranes/grubs are doable, and you'll get crazy exp/hour, as well as timeless coins and such.

I thought you needed to be 90 to do timeless isle? Gotta be 90 to fly, is it possible to get there otherwise?

Can either run as a ghost, or take a two-seater with a friend. Once you get the flightpoint, you can go back any time.

My alts are usually at the Shrine by 10 or so, and Timeless Isle by 80 at least.

You can get loot from Ordos and Celestials via tag as early as 35 (verified) although probably sooner.

Hehe.

I'm getting close! Stopped at 5 after the Ach, and now going back for the cross faction 90 as my 6th.

Flex has been great for the alts too.

Well two of my friends that I play with regularly are always looking for other horde 90s to join us. Especially for transmog runs of older content. Or if you're trying to get achievements for older raid mounts too, like the frostbrood dragon from icecrown citadel. Which we can all easily join via the cross-realm raiding.

Flex is always good too, I do a lot of them via openraid.us. I just refuse to ever be the guy who coordinates putting a raid together. I've done it in the past many times. I'm since retired.

Ok, apparently this is a thing as of October or so: You can put *any* enchant on heirlooms, and they will scale with the weapon/armor.

This means, pandaria enchants, shoulder and pants enchants, all work. And they scale down and up with the heirlooms. The scaling isn't gradual. It changes at certain level brackets (so from 1- 60. the enchant remains the same, 61 - 70 it boosts up a bit, etc. etc.) However, older enchants won't scale beyond their expansion bracket. This means, Crusader won't scale above level 60. Mongoose won't scale above 70. Etc.

I guess it's a good thing I was saving all those purple shards in pandaria.

Yeh.

I enchanted all my 'looms a few weeks ago, it was nice.

Personally, I went with Windsong over Dancing Steel- the secondary stat scaling is way better at lower levels. It's amazingly overpowered on a DW class, imo.

There are a few spots where other enchants are better for a couple of levels, and I think Cata enchants are better overall, but I just went with MoP chants for the ease.
