There's 4 or 5 of us who have been playing for awhile. Finally found a guild that would take us in. Tonight (hopefully) we will go to Ulduar with them for the first time. They've cleared it in the past and have moved on but decided go back and run us through. We've done Naxx many times but this will be the first trip to Ulduar.. Anything to look out for?

Ulduar:

Flame leviathan. Vehicle fight, pretty easy for the most part. Depending on your role (siege engine/demo/chopper/) you could be doing a few different things. But, like I said, its pretty easy.

Razorscale. Bigass dragon fight with adds. One person will be in the back with the harpoons, the rest of the raid will be out front dealing with the adds. If you're melee, be careful, there will be spawning "Dark Iron Sentinel" or similar. They whirlwind. WW is annoying. WW makes me a sad panda. Beat up the adds, the harpoon guy will drop razorscale. DPS her when she's on the ground. She'll take off, and you repeat. Once she's landed permanently (about 50% IIRC), dps the snot out of her. Don't stand in blue fires.

Ignis. After the most annoying trash ever, a basic tank and spank. Don't stand on the scorch patches, don't cast when flame jets hit, they'll lock you out of that school.

XT. Creepy *** robot. Tank and spank fight. If you get gravity bomb or light bomb on you move AWAY from the raid. Light bomb does damage to those around you, gravity bomb blows up and pulls people to you. Every 25% or so, the heart will drop out. burn burn burn it. Don't break it though, if you're not going for hard mode. During the heart phase, adds will spawn. If you see scrap bots getting close, help kill them. They heal XT for a few % of his health.

Kologarn. HE IS VERY LARGE. He's 3 mobs, left arm, right arm, and the body. Periodically, the right arm will pick up 3 raid members and SQUEEZE THE LIFE FROM THEM! Dps the right arm till it blows up. Then, DPS the body. The right arm will regen, and repeat. Easy Peasy.

Iron Council. Big buy, medium guy, little guy. Kill in reverse order. Little guy has a lightning whirlwind that can be interrupted. Also has a thing called overload. When he casts it run away. Run back in and beat him up. Medium guy will thros big green circles on the floor. Don't stand in them. Big guy is then just T&S to the end.

I keep forgetting to say - Thanks Müs for the advice. We were able to blow through it pretty easy. Ran through a couple times and we tried ToC last night. Was really fun!

Ulduar is good stuffs. :D We'll see about ICC once it's fully available, but Ulduar is probably my favorite raid instance to date. The whole titan lore stuff lends itself to a great, epic feeling. Then there is Mimiron, the Best Boss of All MMOs Ever, Past and Future.

I don't like Ulduar much. The boss fights are too gimmicky. We cleared it a couple times and moved on. Nobody in my guild liked that place, and the drops aren't good enough for the difficulty now that ToC and Ice Crown are around (Ice Crown so far is really fun).

We never got around to downing Yogg, and are probably going to go do that one of these weeks.

The first time we killed him we said "well, we did it. Nobody wants anything that drops in here, right? Ok, we're never coming back" ;)

We went into Ulduar a couple more times, but never even mentioned Yogg again...
