Apparently the latest thing is to skip some or all of an instance if the tank/healer don't need the Emblems of Triumph. Because, we all know the reason for the random group tool is to provide DPS for the wants of healers and tanks that already have good gear. Of course, that doesn't stop these same people from ***** about everyone else's gear.

This has happened to me 3 or 4 times in the last week or two.

You're just noticing this? Ive seen this basically... a month after they changed all heroics to drop triumph.

Gogogofasterfasterfaster! >_>

I've seen the "go faster" thing but not the "skip bosses since I don't need triumph" thing.

You must not do Old Kingdom often. I've tanked groups and gotten kicked because I wanted to do all of the bosses instead of skipping.

Halls of Stone as well.

I've generally seen this attitude more from DPS than tank/healer, because they're the ones with the long wait times. They wait 15-20 minutes for a group, and all they want is their 2 frost, so they want to skip anything unnecessary.

When I was tanking, I usually went for every boss, unless someone requested me not to.

My experience as someone who won't tank for randoms is that the attitude comes mostly from tanks/healers. And that it's been happening since I hit 80. >_>

Its really only an issue in OK and HoS.

Not too may other places you can skip bosses.

OK, I can understand, as the trash in there is mui annoying. Skipping the rock boss in HoS, yeh. But the Titan Chick? That's an easy down.

They generally will want to attempt it in Azjol'Nerub too. As there is a way to glitch it so you don't have to fight Hard-on Knocks or whatever the spider's name is. And woe to ye who fail in not knowing how to glitch it. And woe to ye for speaking up and saying "We have attempted to glitch it 4 times now, it would be faster to just kill Hard-on-like-a-rock, or whatever his name is."

On the flip side, I have been in a few groups where the plan was to skip bosses until someone asked if we could kill them so they could get their quest/achievement/badges/whatever. Sometimes you do end up with tanks and healers who have yet to succumb to douchebaggery.

You guys are wrong on this......the latest form of playerbase douchebaggery involves 2 or 3 guildmates que'ing for randoms, then killing the "outsiders" that join their dungeon, rinse and repeat to the ones dumb enough to keep rez'ing and coming back in. And as a dps, this sucks hard, as you can wait up to 20 minutes for the group, then have to sit as a ghost or leave group and get debuffed.......and wait some more!

Another form is lazy tanks, who que up and then stand at the entrance until you can kick them from group.........meanwhile, there is usually someone else that can secondary tank and the group goes on with 4 ppl until the timer is up, and the lazy tank gets free badges.

LFD is like a box of chocolates........and unfortunately, some of them are filled with poop.

I have seen all of this. I have also seen a healer run into melee and try to pull aggro from everything and then ***** at the group for not keeping them alive.

How do you go about killing the outsiders? Is that a PVP server thing? If so, I thought you couldn't attack your own team.

I run 20 Random Heroics a day. It takes about 2 hours. I tank 6 of them. I heal 6 them of them. I'm a damage dealer in the last 8. The only time I ever see this kind of behavior is when I'm on a tank or healer, and it almost invariably comes from the damage dealers in the party. Fortunately, you can cure yourself of this problem by ignoring ass-hats. It will prevent the LFG Tool from pairing you with that person ever again.

You pull in such a manner they can't survive and you will.

I see this pretty regularly on my server. Typically I'm tanking my randoms, and I generally ask the group if anyone actually needs triumphs or just wants fast frosts. If no one needs the triumphs, then I'll skip bosses so that we finish faster. If anyone needs em, I'll do a full clear. If I specifically need triumphs, then I'll let folks know I'm doing a full clear at the start.

Unless you're insta queueing with a tank every... wait... 120 minutes to do *20* heroics? With Random Pugs?

You're so full of ****.

Arafys:

Nope. I have 2 guildmates I queue with for every one of those. The only thing that ever slows down the groove is Halls of Reflection and Trial of the Champion; oh, and Violet Hold. So much hate for the scripted events in five mans now.

We all have 1 of each class Alliance and Horde Side, and we've been playing together for a long time. Gundrak, Drak'Tharon Keep, Occulus, Pit of Saron, Utgarde Keep, Utgarde Pinnacle, Halls of Lightning, and Halls of Stone takes less than 8 minutes regardless of who the other 2 people are. And we don't need Emblems of Triumph. We just play way too much WoW. Hell, it takes me longer to do Tournament, Hodir, Dalaran dailies on the characters I do them on than it does to blitz Heroics.

I agree with you with the h9 for the scripted events. Still, 6 mins for a heroic seems like 4 mins too short ;) ESPECIALLY with 2 pugs.

The Brann event in HoS takes way too long. As does the crap in CoS and ToC.

Being Horde side now... My god the DBS event in ICC is too bloody long. There needs to be an option for "Yeah yeah, we've heard it. Can we just pwn his *** and get it over with?"

Arafys:

Our pulls usually go like this in Halls of Stone: Door to Brann to Event without stopping. Kill everything. Start Event. Take any trash we pick up on the way back to Sjornir. It's entirely possible that Darksiege has ended up in our groups and died because he didn't listen to our rule: "Don't do anything until the tank stops moving."

That's a shitton of mobs. 4-5 packs of iron dwarves (some casters), and half a dozen or so of those golem bastards. Your tank blow every AE taunt and CD he has to not die to all that crap?

Our tanks have 60k unbuffed health and most are pushing 40k armor. We're way over geared.

Most of it yeah. We have some 284 pieces, too (Halion). Arthas 25 H still eludes us, but we should have him soon.

It's been my experience that 90% of all random arsehats are either healers or tanks. DPS players generally quickly (and painfully) learn that being an arsehat means you are likely to get kicked and that the party will wait only nanoseconds before someone replaces you. DPS truly is expendable fodder.

Whereas the tanks and healers know that if you kick them, that you're going to be waiting a while again (and that they will only wait single-digit-minutes to get into another group if you do kick them). This gives them more room to douchebaggify the group.

Although it's possible I don't see many dps arsehats just because A. I quell the fire before it spreads by reminding them just how expendable and kickable they are and B. Generally when they see their dps meters with mine they are silently reminded that they really and truly are one of the weaker links in the group and so will shut the hell up.

Honestly, if I get UK, UP, AN, Nexus, or Gundrak, I would prefer not to be grouped on my DK. I can solo those 5 instances on Heroic.
