I'm at that point of stagnation where leveling another alt is really too boring, and I'm not having all that much fun on my main (s).

I really could use a good guild, then I could raid/have decent groups- but all the guilds I look at are either too hardcore (meaning they require 3-4 days per week of raid attendance) or they're full of kids and drama.

But if anyone knows a decent guild on Alliance side Terenas-US, let me know!

LMAO!

Did you do this just to irritate Screeling?

Um, yea, WoW. I canceled my account about a month and a half ago. I still miss it from time to time, and I'm sure I'll be back before Cataclysm hits. But for now, I'm enjoying all the free time it's given me. :D

Of course I did. Anyway...

We just one-shot Anub'arak on 10 man. Fun fight. Two swords + polearm drops.

Time for hard mode!

That's where I'm at right now. I'll probably come back for Icecrown, however. But it sure is nice not having to log in every night to raid boring farm content.

Hard mode Northrend Beasts is destroying us. We aren't even getting past Gormok.

I'll give you 50 bucks if you hack this board and kill this thread.

Same. We oneshot the entire trial last night. Including a FK of Anoob'arak. (As a healer, its a really weird feeling to *let* the party get low low on hp and *not* heal them.)

Got to the heroic mode... Gormok pwnt us hardcore. Those fires he throws out are no joke. Even worse... get a fire and a snobold = DEATH. No save, no dodge. Snobold + fire = dead character.

Post subject:  Re: Wrath of the Lich King

Our best attempt had us killing Gormok about 2 seconds before the Jormungars came out. One good thing about HM Gormok, is that he only throws out 4 snobolds total. After that, he's a burn fest.

I've started to play my DK more seriously now. Am not impressed that you have to hit the lowbie zones to level up any gathering skill, but I can see why it is that way.

Also starting to play a Shaman with a friend who used my referral. It's pretty crazy to have rest exp, 20% bonus from gear and the linked account bonus to exp. I actually usually unequip my heirloom items if I'm grouping with him because I'll go so much faster.

Other than that have just been doing the daily H & the odd raid I can scrap together with my guild / friends to gather more Triumph badges for sexy gear for my Warlock. Think I'm going to drop Mining as well and go to Tailoring, as I picked Mining / Blacksmithing on the DK.

Does anyone else dyslex to Wrath of the Lion King?

Interesting trivia…

Raffiki is a valid name in Swahili and was one of the bits of Swahili used in Hatari by John Wayne to show his character was native to the land and knew his way around.

Timon and Pumba were recently spotted IRL on digg and elsewhere: here

Ha = No Kuna = Exists Matata = Concerns

I don't tend to dyslex but I can totally see it.

The rest XP doesn't stack with the RAF bonus. :( But I do believe the heirloom stuff does.

For real??? That sucks ***. What's the point then? Let's be honest, how often when you are leveling do you NOT have rested exp?

Author:  NephyrS [ Sat Sep 05, 2009 6:00 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Wrath of the Lich King

The point is that RaF is 300% and rested is 200%?

Not sure what you're getting at.

::edit:: Unless you misunderstood and thought rested and heirloom didn't stack?

Heirloom stacks with everything, thankfully.

The 200% bonus from rested doesnt stack with the 300% from RAF.

You'd be surprised.

Especially when you get into the 60s and 70's.

Well...I went from 70 to 80 without ever losing my rested bonus. Also, when I leveled that character at the start of TBC, I had rested bonus...but only for the first 15 minutes or so of the day because I got some the night before when I logged off...so it was only like, 4 bubbles. I'm sure when I level to 85, I won't run out of rested, though.

Well, my WoW client started hating me today.

First it crashed a few times flying over Dragonblight, then is started chain crashing before I could even get past the login screen. Disabled all addons, still no go.

Tried the repair option, it said nothing was wrong.... Tried to uninstall it, and the install does not work.

Deleted the folder, and downloading a fresh copy, hopefully this works ::crosses fingers::

Maybe hardware?

Author:  NephyrS [ Sun Sep 06, 2009 7:52 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Wrath of the Lich King

I would be surprised if it was hardware- nothing else is giving me problems. And the fact that the uninstall directory was missing/corrupt leads me to think there were SOME software problems.

As an aside, my WoW folder was, before deletion, 19.2 gigs.... Now with a fresh install, it's just under 11.

::edit:: Fresh install worked. After the 3.2 patch and 4 more hours downloading, my WoW folder is up to 15 gigs, so I lost 4 gigs of 'junk' somehow.

My upgrades from trial, to regular, to BC, to WoTLK seem to have left it encumbered.

Now comes the task of re-setting up every addon and preference, and re-caching AH prices.

Finished off Guardian of Cenarius last night, woot.

Now, the next task for my Warlock is dropping Mining and picking up Tailoring. Anyone got any suggestions on raising tailoring? I've been browsing THIS guide exclusively.

Author:  NephyrS [ Mon Sep 07, 2009 1:03 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Wrath of the Lich King

I've used that site for my other professions, never used the tailoring one in particular.

I'd like to drop mining, because I don't actually mine anymore.... But I do use it to smelt cheap ore into more expensive bars for my blacksmith.

But still, I'd prefer another crafting profession.

Just have to take up Mining on another alt, I guess.
