A couple articles about the effects of expanded government and the entitlement programs created, and the problems associated.

Greece civil sector is paid based upon a 14 month year

India's heavily subsidized fertilizer program with no education is killing their yeilds

Now I know why gold prices are so high. The USD, Euro, and Yen are all completely screwed because all three come out of economies that have insolvent, untouchable entitlements that can only be paid for by printing money.

Greece is paralyzed by strikes as the workers rebel against the cost saving proposals and pledges the Greek government gave to the EU.
