Whenever it gets brought up, I think the general consensus is that we all agree with him as well. |

I don't mean the specific video. Just the subject of black history month. |

He's up there with Bill Cosby in the "Black men who understand racism and how to fix it" category for me. |

Obviously. If you treat someone as though they are different, whether that treatment is *good* or *bad*, they become/remain different. If you want everyone to be equals, you have to treat them that way. It won't happen overnight either. There is no quick fix. It's gonna take more than a few generations.....but the way we are headed in the racism department is not doing anything to bring about peace between races either. I agree with Morgan Freeman and others who think we should just stop treating everyone differently and just let it be. |

I treat women differently than men, and most feel I'm being respectful. In fact, I treat everyone differently... ...I treat them as I believe they deserve to be treated. |

He was just being sarcastic about the plethora of blacks who consider anyone like Morgan Freeman or Bill Cosby some sort of traitor for not riding the victimhood train. |

Oh I know what Arafys was saying. I was agreeing. Did my sarcasm not come off as cleanly as his did? I need practice. |

Taly, thanks for the link. Cosby is wise AND funny. I wish more people would think like that...his comment about people willing to get hit in the face with rocks for an education back in the day compared with kids throwing them away today really hit home. Sometimes something has no value to us unless we have had to fight for it, and a lot of times we go beyond the line past taking something for granted when its handed to us on a silver platter...it ceases to have value. |

I love you, Morgan Freeman. I forgive you for being in "Wanted." There are people who would consider Mr. Freeman an "uncle tom" for saying things like that. It's a less obvious, but more sinister type of racism that they practice. At least I can tell where KKK members stand instantly. They stand out as being idiots and that's helpful to know. ....also WTF? Why.... |

Morgan is one of my favorite actors of all time, and not just because he's from my homestate. I remember first seeing him on The Electric Company on PBS, as a child. Anyways......in case some of you have never seen it, an odd little film that didn't receive much publicity that I think is worth the watch: 10 Items or Less |
