So I bought a pair. To provide a little background for the past 8 years or so I have worn nothing but Adidas Samba Milleniums:

Most comfy, durable shoe in the history of shoes (2 pairs in 8 years of year round wear in slush, snow, rain, mud, etc).

Day1: Anyways, these Skechers are... odd. I would imagine they are similar to wearing heels for ladies without the extreme danger of falling. I feel constantly off balance slightly and my calves and thighs are making tiny adjustments while just standing. Walking is easy enough and I find myself constantly ending up on my toes, the shoes almost seem to rock into that position naturally. So far the biggest "impact" I have felt is climbing stairs which actually starts a slight burn in my calves.

I knew these felt familiar. They are a scaled back version of these:

Day 2: These things make the small of my back ache. I would assume this is because they force me to have better posture (chest out shoulders back).

I've been using MBT's for about 2 years. They really started the trend of the curvy bottom shoes. They take a bit of getting used to, but I love mine.

They are really best suited to walking. I wouldn't use them for running or other sports. And if you sit at a desk all day, they really won't do you much good their either.

I went shoe shopping this weekend, and tried on the shape-ups, since the MBT's cost twice as much, and their styles are somewhat limited. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a good fit with the Skechers. I ended up with another pair of MBT's and a nice set of Brooks running shoes for when I have worked up to start jogging again.
