Well, my wife and I signed up with a personal trainer on Monday. I have my first real session tomorrow. Both looking forward to and somewhat aprehensive about it. My muscle memory still thinks I'm 20, not 40 and it gets me into trouble from time to time. I'm hoping the extra guidance from a very qualified professional will help mitigate that. This should be an interesting journey.

Good luck and let us know how it goes Aizle. 40 is still plenty young, no worries. I have 1st hand experience.

Ugh.

First workout was sadly what I was expecting. Really good training, but holy crap I'm out of shape. Between having an empty stomach and some bad breathing habits, managed to get myself light headed and nauseous. But, on the plus side I was able to struggle through and complete the workout, tho the last 4 stations where pretty underwhelming. Never used to have a problem with working out on an empty stomach, so will be fixing that for this Saturday's workout. Need to focus more on the breathing part.

Definately feeling a good burn on the areas we worked out earlier in the program tho.

Progress, but man I hate being this weak.

Second workout went a bit better, but still getting back in the saddle of working out. Focused more on keeping my breathing regular and having enough to eat prior to the workout helped.

Definately feeling muscle burn in the right spots.

Third workout today.

Feeling much stronger today. Was able to make it through the whole thing without really needing a break, tho I dragged my feet a little between a couple exercises. But definately feeling some progress.

Really good workout tonight.

Finally feels like I've got my breathing under control and that I'm actually getting to muscle failure due to the tissue failing instead of being oxygen deprived.

This is my 10th workout so far, so feeling pretty good about my progress so far.
