I think that applies for emotional pain as well. I've noticed a dramatic decrease in my ability to cope with stress and grief since I decided to stop swearing.
When I slip up and say a harsh word, I gotta admit, it feels really **** freakin' good!

Because their spouse thinks its unladylike and not a good example for the children?

I agree with this too.

Hmmm how many are turned off by a woman swearing?

I agree not so good an example in front of children, but is it an unattractive trait in a woman?

Not unattractive at all. I like a girl that's not averse to throwing out an f-bomb every now and then. Tells me you're human ;) hehe

Swearing, like everything, depends on the context. Being male or female doesn't matter, the situations of when it's used matter.

Swearing like a sailor in front of small kids, not good.
Swearing among friends that you know and are comfortable with, fine.
Letting my 14 year old nephew swear around me, because he knows when not to and it makes him feel a little more like one of the guys, also fine.

Depends on the amount and situation.

When appropriate to convey frustration/anger on a rare occasion, not a problem. Occasionally as an expression of animal lust, that's a good thing. Commonly thrown into normal conversation, not so much.

Someone I care about and respect, see above.
Chick I'm just looking to bang? Couldn't care less.
