Post subject:  It has begun!

I've been really unhappy with my body lately. I'm not really "fat." I'm 6'2" & 213 lbs. Not exactly what I would call overweight. But I really, REALLY hate this tire tube I've been collecting around my midsection. Especially since I was always so skinny. I was 150 lbs when I got married. I'm not saying I wanna be 150 lbs again. Hell, I don't even really care about losing any weight. I just want to lose my belly and these damn love handles, and pack on some muscle.

And I've finally decided to do something about it. Last week, my wife and I started the Abs Diet. I really like the Abs Diet. I hate to even call it a "diet." It's not, really. It's a lifestyle change. You eat more often (every 2-3 hours) and you eat the right foods. That's it. Healtier choices, and a schedule that keeps your metabolism elevated. I tried it before, and had some decent results, before a vacation to Disney World, and an ankle injury, really side tracked me, and contributed to my falling off the wagon. I'm determined to not let that happen this time.

And the other piece of the puzzle - P90X. I started Phase 1 of P90X today. Chest & Back, along with Ab Ripper X. Wow - What a killer workout! I really pushed myself, and if I continue to do so, I hope to see some very good results in 12 weeks. I hope that I am able to stick with it.

Starting Stats
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 213.5 lbs
Waist: 41"
Body Fat: 27.84%

I'm keeping a journal, and posting to a blog, in the hopes that I will be able to hold myself accountable, and not give up. So - here goes nothing! Wish me luck, guys.

Good luck!

Man, you must have started out skinny - 150 pounds used to be my top weight, but I'm only 5'6". So, what, were you, like 15 or so when you got married?! (j/k :D )
