...with chocolate cake, some sort of heavy cream concoction, coconut, and caramel?

If it does. I need a recipe.

I'll try it. I was hoping for something...wetter. Like with cream/condensed milk poured over it or something.

I'm sure you could do a frosting or something.

German Chocolate Cake ala Mode with dulce de leche ice cream.

It may take looking at a premium brand like Hagen Daas to find the ice cream, but you are worth it.

I love german chocolate cake. But I want a richer, darker chocolate cake that's moist with some sort of cream poured over it. And I want the chocolate and caramel and coconut to be separate flavors. And some sort of cream topping as well.
I may just have to make something up.

My wife makes something like this with a normal chocolate cake. First you poke holes in the cake, then pour on the condenced milk. Then, carmel. Cover with cool whip...so good.

Aye, she just uses a boxed normal chocolate cake. German chocolate will do as well. Hit it with the milk and carmel while the cake is still warm from the oven. Then after it cools, cover with the whipped topping. Keep it in the fridge unitl you are ready to serve it.

Absolutely. I have unfinished business to attend to not too far from where you live. I have to wait for the stars to align just right, but hopefully sometime within in the next two years.

A quick check of my recipe folder yields a dense chocolate cake recipe, a coconut custard filling that could be lightened with whipped cream, and a caramel true buttercream. Add toasted coconut and it's good to go.
