Personally, I say abomination

Although I do like many breakfast foods, there's just something un-appetizing about thinking of them consumed for dinner.

Your poll is missing the option: "A Gift From our Creator."

Some times breakfast is the very best dinner. A Portuguese sirloin, topped with fried eggs, and white wine/basil gravy, A 3 or 4 egg western omelette, maybe eggs Benedict. Sided with home fries and rye toast. A hot cup of coffee or tea... mmmmm

Drool. Ok, I find myself following you everywhere you talk about food.
Before I become an outright online Rynar stalker, maybe you could make it easier for me and consider posting a food diary or a Rynar recipe thread? Pwease?

LOL, I will gladly fill any requests for recipes that anyone here requires.

The thing is, when I give a recipe, I give a strong, yet basic one that can be easily tweaked and molded to the tastes of the person cooking it for themselves, and I provide detailed instrcutions on preperation and equipment. I'll also give ideas for various tweakings, but everyone should embrace the idea of having those tweaks be entirely theirs, as opposed to something read and prepared verbatim. That's the whole fun of cooking. The creation.

That said, thanks for the compliment.

Sweet. Thanks Ry. So, since we're on the topic of breakfast food....when I was 12 I ate at a casino in Nevada with my foster parents at the time and had the best breakfast burritos! They had scrambled eggs, mushrooms, black olives, sausage, and cheese...don't know what else. I'll never forget them they were soooo good!
Also, I make the best french toast ever, which is hard to do...I can't stand french toast that has that heavy eggy taste to it.
I love breakfast foods, I really do, but I don't know why I don't like them for dinner. I just don't.

I guess maybe it comes from years of working shifts and not having a true 'morning' or 'breakfast', and loving breakfast food.

I'll eat it any time of the day.

I hate chicken ovulations, err eggs, for the most part (except in French toast and fried rice for some reason)...but I like all other breakfast foods.

I'll eat whatever whenever I get the mood for it...prolly comes from working nightshift, like Midgen.

My wife and I do breakfast for dinner pretty often, especially since breakfast during the week is almost always a smoothie. Generally she makes puff pancakes or a Dutch baby, with sausage on the side.

Hmmm, I think we're having breakfast for dinner tonight or tomorrow, come to think of it...

Breakfast for dinner is quite common in our house. Hubby makes potatoes and Eggbeaters several times a week. Sometimes we will have an omelette and on special occasions I'll make eggs benedict.

I don't really separate breakfast foods from other foods. I'm as likely to make omelettes for dinner as I am to have leftover kung pao chicken for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy is wonderful any time of day. And my favourite breakfast is a butter-seared ribeye with a couple of fried eggs. Why not have that for dinner?

This. Once you work 2nd or 3rd for a long time, you get used to food of whatever type whenever you want...

Truth.

Oh and Pancakes for the win. Matter of fact, we are having them tonight. With a side of fried taters. Start with a pound of bacon, chop it up. Toss in pan. Next add diced onion and potatos cut into thin slices. If you like mushrooms, add them as well. Cook until the taters are near mush. Sometimes they are good with cheese melted on top.

Breakfast for dinner is fine, especially when there's nothing else available.

Lunch or dinner foods for breakfast, however, are not authorized except in dire emergencies.
