It's wreaking havoc with my face, causing me to break out like it's high school again. I have read that yogurt isn't too bad, so I'm going to include that, but no more milk at all. I have some Almond Milk for use on cereal.

Anyone try the rice milk? How is it?

Rice milk is okay. I like it better than soy, not as much as almond. I like cow's milk best, but it doesn't care for my digestive system and raises a big stink.

Rice, soy, almond all potentially good. Brand makes a difference, although I can't remember the goods brands (too long since I was drinking it regularly).

Still prefer cow for taste and cost, personally.

I prefer the coconut milk to all others (So Delicious is the brand). If the problem is dairy sensitivity that's causing breakouts you won't have an easier time with yogurt, it's actually got more concentrated casein. You can get non-dairy yogurt, too. Also cut out cheese, butter, and ice cream if you're serious about it.

Casein is a very good protein for building muscle, especially for maintenance while sleeping. From what I understand, it's the prevalence of di-hydrotestosterone and IGF-1, particularly in milk (and highest in skim milk), that causes problems.

Other dairy products such as yogurt have much less. However, milk itself and things like cottage cheese are higher in content.

I'm a bit lactose intolerance, so it helps my digestive system to get off milk, anyhow.

My kids both drink Rice Dream, have since they were weaned. My daughter's got a bit of a bovine dairy sensitivity, so we limit that stuffs severely. We still go out for Ray's ice cream a few times in the summer, but daily milk drinking is off-limits.

We actually have 3 varieties of milk in the house - Rice Dream, my wife's organic skim, and my 1% (because skim is colored water!). :)

I have Rice Dream, Silk (soy) and Almond Breeze. They are all fairly good. I have cut out cheese and cut down on ingredients like butter and things like that and taken them out where I can.

I found some non-dairy yogurt that is fairly high in protein.

This, except I like almond milk less than all the other alternatives.

Rice (my fav)
Soy (cheaper, OK alternative)
Dairy (but I'm slightly lactose intolerant, and dairy gives me mild hay fever-esque symptoms)
Almond (tried it a few times, but did not care for it)

I keep a gallon or a half on hand for cooking, but as for drinking straight, using in cereal/drinks, etc., neither Phe nor I use it anymore. Aforementioned issues for me and too much dairy makes her extremely sick to her stomach.

Oh, and give 8th Continent a try as far as soymilk brands go. I personally prefer them to Silk.
