I had forgotten how awesome a steak joint this was.

It's a little hole in the wall place in here in Columbus that has been in business for a good long while. You get seated and they give you this basically laminated piece of paper with your choice of steak, steak, or steak. No frills on the surroundings. They have the best steaks in the Golden Triangle, bar none. LK and I had a date this past Saturday and she had never been. We got the sirloin for two which should be renamed the sirloin for 5. Just a great hunk of meat(that's what she said). We ate our fill and still had I think a whole steaks worth left over.

Anyone who comes for a visit, you get a steak on me from there.(sorry to Michael that I didn't think about it. It's one of those places you take for granted because it's always been there).

That place convinces me that 9/10, local owned places are better than the chains.

Reminds me of a little place known as Meers store in Oklahoma, located about half an hour north of Fort Sill. They'll serve you a burger the size of a normal pie, in a pie plate, cut into quarters. Fries in a paper cup, IIRC. Drinks in mason jars. I really hope they didn't clean it up in the last 12 years.

This is the food forum. That's disgusting on several levels.
