Post subject:  Coconut Milk
I'm not a fan at all of alternative dairy products or alternative meat products.
I would have never bought this on my own, but my stepdaughter saw it at the grocery store and said one of her friends drank it all the time and she wanted to try it, so I bought some.

Well, my stepdaughter didn't like it at all...but I did! In fact, I drank the whole carton in 3 days. And I want more...I'm even thinking about doing more than just drinking it. Maybe pouring it on cereal and stuff.
My only concerns are that it doesn't have as much calcium (10% DV as opposed to 30%) or protein (1g as opposed to 8g) as regular milk. It does however have potassium and other vitamins and minerals that milk doesn't have and less calories and sugars.
If I wasn't pregnant, I wouldn't even be questioning it....but I get a lot of protein and calcium from drinking milk.

Dang, this stuff is soooo good!! I wonder what the vanilla kind tastes like?

Don't care for coconuts.

I looooove vanilla almond milk. Rice milk is very good too. Soy milk is OK, but my least favorite of the three.

It actually doesn't taste like coconut at all, Farsky...thats why no one likes it but me...it has a very, very subtle flavor and everyone else says it has no flavor at all.
I had almond milk, rice milk, and soy milk when I was a kid...didn't care for them then but tastes change...wonder if I would like them now?
How do they measure on the nutrition chart in comparison to cows milk?

Coconut Milk is great for Tom Kha Gai... and curries.
