I'd eat it. As a matter of fact, I have eaten sandwiches quite like it: Lobster Rolls. Quote: "The disturbing mix of lobster and bread is smothered in white 'McLobster sauce', which is some combination of mayonnaise, tartar sauce, and possibly some salad dressing," Zach Tropf wrote in 2009 on the Gunaxin blog. Shredded lettuce and bits of celery are also included," he added. Yup, sounds just like a lobster roll, you elitist hack: Wiki wrote: Quote: A lobster roll is a kind of sandwich filled with lobster meat.[1] A traditional lobster roll contains the fresh cooked meat of a lobster, tossed with mayonnaise and served on a grilled hot dog bun or similar roll, so that the opening is on the top rather than on the side. The filling may also contain diced celery and/or scallion, or may use drawn butter instead of or in addition to mayonnaise. The sandwich may also contain lettuce, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Traditional New England restaurants serve lobster rolls with potato chips or french fries on the side |

I'm guessing the McLobster will be available only in parts of the country that are already familiar with lobster rolls. I won't be seeing it here in Denver. |

Can you get a decent so called "lobster roll" for $2.99? Where I come from, you can't even get a crappy lobster tail with your dinner (*cough*Red Lobster*cough*) for under $15. |

I grew up about 1/2 mile from the New England coast and I don't like lobster. How dumb is that? Lenas wrote: The McRib is **** delicious You, sir, have the taste buds of a cement mixer. |

Yeah, I don't get the McRib thing at all. Had one, thought it sucked. Granted, their McLobster, on the face of it, isn't anything much different from the lobster rolls you might get on the East Coast, etc. But the way the have to prepare it, both for the business model of processed food and for the taste people have come to expect from McDonalds, make it something not quite the same. Another example is McDonalds oatmeal, and this NY Times blog has a great opinion on this. |

Heheh, it ain't the tail in lobster rolls, to quote Norm MacDonald: Quote: I can't wait for the McLobster to come out and I'll tell you why. I'm severely allergic to lobster and can't eat anything with lobster in it.

I haven't seen it advertised in any of the McDonald's around here. Not that I'd buy one anyway, since we can get real lobster rolls around here any time of the year. |

That's actually a good point....if it came out, wonder how long it would be before McD's got sued because the guy making the lobster rolls touched someone's McBurger who was extremely allergic to shellfish and had a lifethreatening reaction? |

I think his point was that he could eat it because there would be no lobster in the McLobster. |

As a fan of the McRib, i'd be very interested in trying this, even though I've had lobster rolls before. |

Amusing how you put that Uinan, willing to try Mcd's version, even though you've had them before. Kind of makes me think you didn't care for your past lobster roll experiences. |

Funny, Bud Light isn't beer and medium rare is my favorite degree of burnt cow meat. Yet I still find the McRib awful. Then again, I like good barbecue. |

Fair point. LOL The Lobster rolls I had before were great. I thought I'd hate the McRib, but ended up loving it. So I'm skeptical about the McLobster, but I'd try it at least. |

I don't eat at McDonald's unless I absolutely have to, such as being on a road trip and need to eat now and nothing else is available. McLobster?? No thank you, I'll make my own at home if I want one, with fresh ingredients that I know where they come from. |
