Yes, but this year's supply of Reese's Easter Eggs contain certain special additives that may or may not result in the creation of a sentient nanobot network. |

Eating peeps is like eating a 20 year old marshmallow covered in colored sand. |

I'm not sure I see your point Raltar. A finely aged marshmallow confection covered in a delicate coating of crystallized colored sugar, what more could you ask for? (I don't really enjoy them myself, just being contrary.) |

Raltar wrote: Eating peeps is like eating a 20 year old marshmallow covered in colored sand. Sand would be an improvement over whatever that weird chemical concoction is on the outside of peeps. Peeps, Twinkies and cockroaches man... Quote: Peeps are sometimes jokingly described as "indestructible". In 1999, scientists at Emory University performed experiments on batches of Peeps to see how easily they could be dissolved, burned or otherwise disintegrated, using such agents as cigarette smoke, boiling water and liquid nitrogen. They claimed that the eyes of the confectionery "wouldn't dissolve in anything". Furthermore, Peeps are insoluble in acetone, water, diluted sulfuric acid, and sodium hydroxide. Concentrated sulfuric acid seems to have effects similar to the expected effects of sulfuric acid on sugar. This debate was featured in an episode of the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle ("Traffic Jam") where Francis insisting the "Quacks" (as they were called) would dissolve in his stomach rather than expand, takes up the dare to eat 100 of them, doing so, but getting very sick in the process. Hilarious Malcom in the Middle episode btw. |

Reminds me of this exchange: http://www.erfworld.com/book-1-archive/?px=%2F015.jpg Spoiler: Quote: Parson Gotti: A Marshmallow Peep. One of the great seasonal treats of this time of year.
Parson's Friend: Dude. Its July. Parson Gotti: Exactly. Peeps are on of the small number of foods which are better stale. They start to get crispy in a few days. By July, they are solidy crunchy. Parson's Friend: Ah. Like the "marshmallows" in Lucky Charms....I never realized they're crunch because they're stale. Parson Gotti: Techically, those are called "marbits," short for "Marshmallow bits." You're behind on your scientific literature. Parson's Friend: "Okay, "marbits." But... When you leave out a box and those go stale, they get soft. What is that? Parson Gotti: Quantum Staleness. They're working on a supercomputer. Instead of bits or qbits? it uses marbits. |

I had some chocolate covered Peeps this year. I have to say, they were pretty tasty. But, they aren't big Peeps, more like the size of a Hershey's Kiss, covered in chocolate. |
