Anyone else love muscadines?
We went last weekend to a local vineyard and picked about 20 pounds, and my parents picked the same amount. Mostly Black Beauty, Fry, and Darlene. My favorite are the Darlene. Especially when they are extra ripe.
(I actually have a great big vine at home, but have let it grow up to the point I couldn't pick much from it. The hummingbirds have called it home this Summer.)Took most of the day between picking, cleaning, and making jelly. The jelly turned out very nice.
Anyways, if you live in the southeast, now's the time. They'll be gone very soon, so get some while they last.
