So, I made Beef Bourguignon with this recipe:
http://family.go.com/food/recipe-cp-786741-beef-bourguignon-t/ I followed it to a T with two exceptions: I used one cup of red wine and one cup of white wine instead of 2 cups of one color. I also had to add half a tsp of salt and pepper.
As far as the meat goes, it came out perfect...tender, flavorful...perfect. But the broth? It was extremely bland and had very little flavor. We like to put the broth over rice or potatoes and it just wasn't very good at all.
But the meat was PERFECT.
Is that the way it's supposed to be? I've never made it before.
Should I try a different recipe or add something else to it next time?
