Good riddance to Pepsi Blue. Oonagh and I were on our way back to our car after spending a day on the Boardwalks in Ocean City, NJ. Quite the beautiful, hot beach day and we needed something to drink. We stopped in a $1 store on the boardwalk with coolers full of cold beverages and decided to spend our last dollar on a 1 liter Pepsi Blue as it looked good enough and was plenty to share for both of us. Suffice it to say that it whatever it tasted like (I've blacked out the memory) was terrible and nothing at all like either of us were expecting. Pepsi Blue took our last dollar on that hot summer day with the promise of quenching our thirst and welched on that promise. Screw you, Pepsi Blue! |

Mountain dew livewire? That stuff is still alive and well here in the salt lake valley. It can be found in any convenience store and sold in grocery stores as well. It gets restocked often. I do miss mountain dew pitch black 2 (not to be confused with regular pitch black). Sour grape dew? Awesome. I think the biggest problem people had with it was the same problem surge had: it turned something you left in the toilet green.... and I'm not talking about urine. Still, I didn't mind. Food coloring does the same thing to your bowels. Bonkers candy is another to add to that list. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

Since I was on a lunch break I decided to take ten minutes and visit four different locations for some quick photos. As you can see, I don't know why some people say livewire is dead. In fact the first picture was taken from a busy store and you can also see its been upgraded to the new plastic bottles that were recently introduced. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I suspect the article is written from the perspective of someone who lives in an area where it's not available. He/She obviously didn't check with the companies. Re: the hostess thing, it's a bummer, but I'm realizing it's not the loss of twinkies, ding dongs, and wonderbread I'm lamenting... it's CHOCODILES !! |

I'm guessing the market for it in just Salt Lake County is still in high demand. Maybe I should be like Homer's Beer Baron and make a tidy profit on the stuff. Dew Baron? "You're out there somewhere Dew Baron, and I will find you." "No... you... won't." "Yes I will." "Won't." |
