Modified slightly from standard (because **** using vodka)... 1/2 oz. Peach Schnapps 1-1/2 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin 1/2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice. Shake with ice. Garnish with an orange peel. |

Isn't good vodka an oxymoron? When I was growing into my drinking days it was used for Screwdrivers and Bloody Marys, and well, getting totally wrecked. Gin was and is a much more civilized poison. |

OK, I've resisted saying this, because no one ever seems to get it, but: "Anyone who knows good gin doesn't know gin." - Peter Berryman of Peter and Lou Berryman, No Relation. In a bar after many pitchers, it really seemed to make sense. Every time I've had gin since then, I think of that phrase. Not that vodka is much better, but it doesn't seem to have the same kick in the gut that gin does. |
