Post subject: | Myth-Adventures, Star Trek or other RPG |
i've got a couple of stories kicking around in my head I'd like to tell via RPG -- i'm wondering if there is any interest in any of the following: Myth-Adventures (will be a free-form game; lots of humor, based on Robert Asprin's Myth Series) Xanth (also freeform, but much punnier) Star Trek (though more of a DS9 environment, I dont think RPGs work that well when characters can pull rank on each other--will probably use Last Unicorn Game's Star Trek system though may decide to slide back to the old FASA system) Any interest in any or all of these? |

Have not worked out details yet. Probably spanning both before and after. |

Huh. I just decided to download those to rewatch them the other day. What would you do for psionics? Edit: Mongoose publishing released a bab5 RPG a while back. Regardless of the system you use, it would probably be useful. I can try to find a copy online. |

Telekinetics are so absoutely rare in the B5 universe I'll probably disallow any TK. They obviously exist, but I think the figure is 1 in 10,000 has TK potential among humans and even then its not really trainable. Even among those, half are insane. (Talia Winters, Lyta Alexander and the Vorlon intervention are massive exceptions) So I'll probably adapt most of the force rules, but remove most of the TK stuff. I may have to power them up a bit, particularly since a high level telepath has far greater power telepathicly than a Jedi does to influence & Probe someone's mind. I'll come up with rules for things like Dust too. I definately intend to allow the inclusion of a telepath or two in the party. Couple of other thoughts: B5 is often about intrigue and divided loyalties. I'll want specifics on characters loyalties both to themselves, their species gov't, and any other organizations such as (but not limited to) Wind Swords Minbari Caste Homeguard Ministry of Peace Nightwatch PsiCorps Corperation Mars Resistance Centauri House Narn Fain Drazi Green/Purple Rangers Army of Light I actually have those books. I don't like the system and people seem more comfortable with the Saga rules. |

It's been so long since I watched these, I don't remember the details of the intrigue. |

I'd have to brush up on lore too. |
