Forgive me for the paraphrase, as the exact words were lost to glades-gone-by, but FarSky once lamented that the DC Comics universe, which he doesn't care for, had outstanding animated television and movies made for it, while Marvel, which he prefered, had mediocre animated movies at best.

Something just occured to me, that I wanted to point out:

John Lasseter will now get the ultimate say in all future Marvel animated films or television shows.

For those of you who don't already understand this, some history:

For years, John Lasseter has been Chief Creative Officer at some little film studio called Pixar. The final decision for all Pixar projects has been made by him. When Disney bought out Pixar in 2006, Disney promoted Lasseter to CCO for all of Disney animation. (To show you what control he has, his first act was to suspend/cancel all Disney animated direct-to-dvd sequels used to cash in on popular titles.) Now that Disney has purchased Marvel...well, I wouldn't be surprised to see the quality of Marvel animation get much, much better.

Clean up on aisle one.

This is really good news for Marvel.

When Pixar was ready to break away from "The Mouse" a few years back, there were substantial rumors that they were extremely interested in doing CGI Marvel films. But, Disney threw extreme amounts of money and taiwanese prostitutes at them that made Pixar decide to stay.

Now that Disney owns Marvel and that Eisner is gone and Lasseter has a lot more power...................................................
