If you ever get dragged to this movie, save yourself the time and just... don't go.

Taken into consideration that this is a much beloved children's novel and you go into it well aware of the ending. It is still the worst movie I have ever had to sit through. Never before have I wanted to attend a red carpet event, just so I can punch out the leading actress and demand the hours of my life back.

As my friend so eloquently put it, “in what universe would Kirsten Stewart be considered more beautiful than Charlize Theron”.

The movie itself isn’t actually half bad. It was well done cinematically and had some great acting by the other cast. Sure it was slow at times, but you understand considering it was a 5 page children’s story book and there really isn’t too much depth to it.

It tried to take itself seriously by giving it a twist to the ending, and it tried really really hard to make people love it by building a world you can believe in. But at the end of the day, I sat through it, rooting for the evil queen to succeed, just this one time.

Whaaaat? I loved it, even with Kristen Stewart.

Admittedly, the idea of Stewart being more beautiful than Theron is...not right, to say the least, but it's a conceit you just have to swallow at the outset, like believing, say, that there's not actually a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to which special kids are spirited away. :)

I thought it was okay, nothing worth seeing more than once, and not worth more than the price of a rental. Charlize Theron could drool on a pillow for two hours and be more attractive than Kristen Stewart on her best day. The story was so-so.
